ICF Philippines Celebrates International Coaching Week 2019
How do you make more people aware of coaching? Simple. Give it as a gift.
Every year, International Coach Federation chapters all over the world celebrate International Coaching Week through a variety of activities that make more people aware of the value of coaching. This year, we have several activities lined up for you.
How to Ask Powerful Questions
On April 29th (Monday), we will have a webinar entitled “Asking Powerful Questions”. This will be conducted by Brian Miller, ACC, via zoom. Brian is the Executive Director of Coach Approach Ministries, an organization that has trained more than 2,200 coaches.
In order for ICFP coaches to sign up, simply go to the ICF Philippines Viber group and send a message that you’re attending. You can also send a message to Thea Masangkay.
Aside from ICFP members, a maximum of 40 guests (non-members) may be accommodated. Guests may register by sending an email to the Professional Development Committee.
Pro-Bono Coaching for Students
On April 30th (Tuesday), we will launch our pro-bono coaching activity with Asia Pacific College (APC). APC is a joint venture between IBM and SM. They provide scholarships for many diverse groups such as graduates of public high schools, children of AFP and PNP personnel, K-12 graduates who will not pursue college degrees, and scholars of the SM Foundation. APC will select 40 scholars who will undergo pro-bono coaching from ICFP coaches who have volunteered for this engagement. The launch will be held from 3 pm to 5:45 pm at MPH1 at the ground floor of Asia Pacific College.
Here is the schedule on the 30th:
3:00 pm – What is Coaching (Arvy Villamarzo)
3:45 pm – Vision Board Exercise for the Participants (Penny Bongato)
4:45 pm – Scholars meet their ICFP coach
This is not a one-time coaching activity. Coaches who volunteered for this project will be coaching a student (or students) for the entire duration of the engagement which will last for a few months.
Coaching Conversation Over Coffee
On May 2nd (Thursday), we will once again offer a one-time pro-bono coaching session to people who are interested in coaching. Just like the other two times that we offered this in the past, we will conduct the session at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Net Lima Building in BGC.
If you want to be coached that evening, please sign up here.
If you are a coach member of ICF Philippines and would like to make yourself available for the event, click here or send a message to Arvy Villamarzo.
